TIMELESS LANDS

Known for its geysers and hot springs, Yellowstone reveals its true magic at dawn, as light, mist and wildlife weave moments that feel timeless.

So cold, so dark, the stars hung deep and high,
No honest soul would stir beneath that sky.
But mystery, too sweet for me to stay,
Drew me to see what wonders woke the day.

The wheel's soft warmth revived my frozen hands,
As mist draped low over the sleeping lands.
Then a wolf's howl — both chilling and imbue,
Announced the start of a dream painted true.

The veil grew thin as dawn began to rise,
And warmer hues spread out across the skies.
Each tree and pool, reborn with fiery grace,
Became brushstrokes no artist could replace.

Some days can slip like water through my hand,
While here time stretched, as though the world had planned
To hold its breath, and cast my thoughts away.
Such treasured blinks still live in me today.

I sat in stillness, breath and heartbeat slow,
As tiny paws began their careful show.
A chipmunk climbed, then paused atop my head:
A crown of trust in wilderness so spread.

The dream shifted as sunlight claimed the day
And crowds would come to watch nature's display.
Geysers, fine sculptures, come alive in flight,
And hot springs rest in colors bold and bright.

Each trail became a marathon of thought,
A moving stillness where the soul was taught.
A fox, a bear, bisons, moose or eagles,
Perspectives new help me seize my struggles.

Already shadows turned the world icy,
The curtains drawn on nature's secrecy.
Those moments passed have left in me a clue—
A simple life, but one worth living through.
